Important Driving and Parking Information

Due to construction at Georgetown University, parking is extremely limited. Please review the driving and parking information below very carefully. For all attendees, we highly recommend ride-hailing/taxi for Thursday and Friday.

Conference attendees not staying overnight at the Georgetown University Hotel & Conference Center

Ride Hailing: We strongly recommend that you use a ride-hailing service, such as a taxi, lyft, or uber.  The campus address is 3800 Reservoir Rd NW, Washington, DC. Instruct your driver to enter using Entrance #1 (when you pull in, you will see construction on your left).  Just prior to the Leavey Center parking garage, turn right, and the hotel main entrance will be on your left side, under a black awning. If a parking attendant stops and mentions that taxis, etc are not permitted past a certain point, please simply let them know that you are going to the conference center and not to the hospital.

Driving on Thursday/FridayParking is available at the Southwest Parking garage for visitors. Enter the following address into your GPS: 3611 Canal Road, NW, Washington, DC. From the parking garage, take the elevator to the floor 1 and walk 0.4 miles (steep incline) to the Georgetown University Hotel & Conference Center.  There is also a mini-shuttle available to transport you from the Southwest parking garage and hotel, however the hours are limited (6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday – Friday only), and therefore it does not run during the return trip back to your car after Friday evening’s welcome reception, nor does it run on Saturday. To utilize the mini-shuttle, walk from the garage to the bus turnaround. The conference will pay for parking in the Southwest Garage, however, you must mention that you are attending the 3rd World Bronchiectasis Conference when you arrive at the garage. Some limited street parking on Reservoir Road may also be available, however, it runs on an hourly basis and you may need to regularly add time to the meter via the parking app ”ParkMobile.” Do not park at any other garage on campus on Thursday/Friday, or the parking attendant will charge you $75.

Driving on Saturday: Parking at the Leavey Center parking garage is available on Saturday only. The conference will pay for your parking at the Leavey Center garage, but you must pick up a parking validation ticket at the conference registration desk.  Use 3800 Reservoir Rd NW, Washington, DC for your GPS. Enter using Entrance #1 (when you pull in, you will see construction on your left).  Keep driving until you see the Leavey Center Parking Garage straight ahead.  You may only park in this garage on Saturday If you park in the Leavey Center parking garage on Thursday/Friday, they will charge you $75, unless you are an overnight guest.

Public Transportation:
Georgetown University is not directly MetroRail accessible, so we recommend utilizing a ride-hailing service if possible. If you wish to use public transportation, there are a number of Metro buses which service the area.  Visit the Georgetown University website for more information: https://transportation.georgetown.edu/Public-Transportation.

Overnight Guests at the Georgetown University Hotel & Conference Center

While ride-hailing (taxi, uber, lyft) is still the recommended mode of transportation to the hotel, overnight guests of the Georgetown University Hotel & Conference Center may park in the Leavey Center parking garage for the duration of their stay, for a cost of $25 for 24 hours. The campus address is 3800 Reservoir Rd NW, Washington, DC. Enter using Entrance #1 (when you pull in, you will see construction on your left).  Keep driving until you see the Leavey Center Parking Garage straight ahead.  Please note that if you are not an overnight hotel guest, there will be a $75 parking fee if you park in the Leavey Center parking garage.
